How to find Clyn Glas Cottages
1.From Lampeter:
Follow the A475 in the direction of Newcastle Emlyn.
At Horeb crossroads go straight across the A486 and drive on through
the village of Penrhiwllan
**As you approach the village of Aberbanc, turn left before the war
memorial and then left again at the top of the short hill.
Carry on along this road, which takes you right through the village
of Henllan. As you leave this village you cross the River Teifi.
Turn left on to the A484 and immediately right. This road takes you
into the village of Drefach Felindre.
Carry on through this village until you come to a T-junction, facing
the school and church.
Turn right here and then immediately left, up the hill.
Stay on this road until you pass the village sign for Cwmhiraeth.
Clyn Glas is the first property on the right following this sign.
Enter the second set of gates and you will be in the car park.
2. From Carmarthen:
Follow the A484 towards Cardigan from the Carmarthen
bypass by following the signs for "Hospital" and then the
brown tourist signs for "Steam Railway". Continue on this
road until you enter the village of Cynwyl Elved.
Take the left turn here on to the B4333 and remain on this road through
the village of Hermon. Continue on this B road until you begin to
pick up signs for Capel Iwan
on the left. (At this stage you will also have a good view of the
wind generators!)
When, having passed the wind generators, you reach a turn for Capel
Iwan at a staggered crossroads, ignore this turn, but take the next
road on the right. The latter is not signposted and is about 100 yards
from the junction.
Follow this minor road into the village of Cwmhiraeth and up the hill.
Clyn Glas is the next property on the left. The first gateway leads
into the car park.
3. From Cardigan:
Follow the A484 to Newcastle Emlyn and remain on this
road as it skirts the main town.
As you leave Newcastle Emlyn take the right hand turn on to the B4333,
which is signposted Cynwyl Elved.
Follow this road as you climb through a wooded valley and then reach
a much straighter road.
Take the first turn on the left and proceed on this until you come
to a T-junction.
Turn left at this junction and proceed through the village of Cwmhiraeth
and then up the hill.
Clyn Glas is the first Property on the left. Enter the first set of
gates and you will be in the car park.
4. From Aberystwyth:
Follow the A487 South until you reach Synod Inn. Turn
left here and follow the A 486 to Horeb. At Horeb turn right on to
the A 475 and continue along this road to the village of Aberbanc.
From here follow the directions as from ** in route from Lampeter,
above.
