Deposit
& Payment of Balance
On booking a deposit may be either 50% of the total
rental (see Current Charges enc.) with the balance payable on arrival
at the cottage(s), or 25%, in which case the total balance is due
one month before arrival. However,
if your holiday is due to take place within one month of the booking
date, then the full amount is payable on booking.
If necessary a reminder will be sent, but we reserve
the right to cancel if the balance is not received when due.
Cancellation
If your booking has to be cancelled (in writing, please)
more than one month before
the holiday, every effort will be made to re-let. If successful, the deposit, less £40 for each weeks booking,
will be refunded. If
unsuccessful, the deposit will be retained.
If your booking has to be cancelled (in writing, please)
less than one month before the
holiday, the deposit and the balance become payable in total.
Every effort will be made to re-let and if successful, all
monies paid will be refunded less £40 for each weeks booking.
It is possible to take out holiday cancellation insurance through
your broker.
Heating, Lighting,
Power & Linen
These are provided and the rental charges are inclusive.
Fuel for the wood-burning stoves is supplied. All bedlinen and domestic
towels are also included in the overall charge.
Breakages
The hirer is responsible for the cottage and its contents,
and undertakes to take all reasonable care to keep it clean and tidy
and to replace or repair any breakages or damage caused.
We do not levy a damage deposit and so ask all hirers to support
the above policy.
Repairs
Guests will have complete privacy while they stay at
the cottages. However,
we must retain our right to enter the cottages at any reasonable time
to carry out any repairs deemed necessary to the property or equipment.
Number of Occupants
The number of persons using the accommodation at any
time must not exceed the number agreed at the time of booking.
Dogs
Whilst we are apprehensive about a blanket welcome for dogs, we do
realise that for some owners and in certain circumstances it is necessary
for them to have their animals accompany them on holiday. In such
circumstances we will supply visitors with a form to be completed
in advance of their arrival, which will indicate their acceptance
of complete responsibility for the care and behaviour of their animals.
